Mt. Moosilauke (1934) - MGM on the Mountain
". . . In 1934 I was invited back by the College to escort an MGM crew from New York City during, before, or after Carnival to go with them to Moosilauke to Hells Highway with the ski (Swiss?) team to make a newsreel. The gentlemen from New York City arrived in Hanover in business suits and overshoes.
We dragged them up Hells Highway and their equipment which promptly froze. I doubt any pictures ever came out but maybe someone else came along with us with better memories. My recollection is that it was a complete disaster. Quite a change from the Sophistication of today. . . ."
