Chuck Sherman, Dartmouth '66, came up with this logo and the first one was woven into blankets given to '66 reunion attenders in 1996. The Latin then was Alcis Clamantis in Deserto, which one of his classmates said was wrong, so, according to Chuck, " . . . I changed it to Vox Alcis in Deserto, either of which means, to me, "the lone moose calls from the wild."
